Home is where the heart is. In our home, our hearts extend to our dog, Licia. Licia is a four-year old Vizsla that definitely enjoys being entertained throughout our community. Here are a few of her favorite places to go.
Other than getting Licia used to not drinking salt water, it’s the most fun we have had with our dog in Sarasota or Manatee counties. Located in Venice, Brohard Beach and Paw Park is the only beach in the area where dogs can join their human friends on the beach without a leash. We have always found the dog lovers there to have well mannered dogs that love to play.
There are times when your dog needs to play, but you can’t be there with them. For us, the answer is doggy day care at Dog World Sarasota. At Dog World Sarasota, their services are designed to keep the dogs happy and give us peace of mind. From my perspective, it’s 6,000 square foot outdoor doggie day care center (including doggy pool) is the best place to ensure your dog will have a full day of fun while you are at work or play.
When we don’t have the time to get to the dog beach, our go to for Licia is Creekwood Canine Park. While there are a number of good dog parks in the area, this one has been the best for our dog. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. However, the best attribute I have seen is that there is little to no conflict. At some of the other parks, I have witnessed some aggressive behavior from dogs and/or their owners. Maybe its just that there aren’t that many people at Creekwood, but our experience there has always been positive.
Fetch offers quite a few services for your dog. The one we use is the cage free dog boarding. There are times when we need to be out of town, and we need to ensure our dog has fun while we are away. Rather than kenneling our dog that isn’t crate trained, we bring her to a dog lover’s house that was matched to our needs. She has her own vacation in someone else’s home while we are away. We have used Fetch in multiple cities over the years and have had nothing but great experiences.
Ok, maybe our dog doesn’t really enjoy going there, but we enjoy what they do for our dog. While we have seen veterinary clinics that have seem more interested in upselling than the well-being of our dog, that is definitely not the case at Southeast. I can tell that Dr. Bessette truly cares about his patients, and we always leave Southeast with peace of mind. That ensures our dog is ready to get pampered wherever we are taking her next.
