Three Helpful Apps for Home Buying

It is 2021. If you are reading this article, there is a good chance you are doing so on a smart phone. If you are not reading it on a smartphone, my bet is you probably own one. The world is ever-changing, and how you buy your home is changing right along with it. Your smartphone can be your best friend when it comes to shopping for homes. Here are 3 user-friendly, incredibly helpful apps to helps you buy your next house.

Zillow

This is my favorite home buying app and the most popular. My twenty-two-year-old daughter, who has no intention of moving anytime soon, has it on her phone just because, and I quote, she, “loves looking at all the places she could possibly live in, it’s so easy!” This app is also the most in depth, including features such as finding nearby open houses, affordability calculator, and more. If you are to use any app to shop for your next house, use this one.

Trulia

Trulia also offers a wonderful app to aid in your home buying journey. Two aspects of this app are what led me to bring it onto this list. First, it is “feed” feature. Based on houses that you save and your searches, Trulia will generate a “feed,” similar to a “for you page,” which is featured on most social media apps. The second aspect of this app that causes it to stand out to me is that it offers a mortgage calculator and gives you current mortgage rates. This is the most practical part of the app in my opinion, as it allows you to reasonably see where you can afford to live.

Realtor.com

Realtor.com is my final app, and to be honest, it has many of the same qualities that Trulia and Zillow have. The apps do not vary too much. The unique feature of this app is that it offers a news feed as well. Essentially, there is a blog attached to the app that can give you helpful tips on buying your home. I recommend having all these apps, the more information you have the better.
