Mortgage Interest Rate Update

After creeping up a bit, we saw mortgage interest rates drop again in the last 30 days. The recent change will save new borrowers another $12 per month for every $100,000 borrowed. Average U.S. rates for 30-year fixed rate mortgages were at 2.80% as of this week. Last month at this time, they were sitting at 3.02%. Of course, both are historically low.

Florida is absolutely littered with golf courses. It was one of the first things my family noticed when moving here from up north. It seemed like our options were living by the water or living on a golf course – and that was it. Of course, there is much more variety, but, many neighborhoods are designed around courses. I have done both since my time in Florida, living by the water and living on a golf course, and while we ultimately prefer the course, that is not to say it doesn’t have its downfalls.
