July 1st marks the starts of Florida’s favorite time of year… hurricane season. All jokes aside, hurricanes can be detrimental to both homes and communities. A Category 1 hurricane, the lowest ranking and least lethal ranking, will still produce winds of up to 95 miles per hour. Needless to say, it can do more than just take down a few branches and causes large waves. It can destroy your home. That being said, it is incredibly important to be prepared for hurricane season. Usually, the higher end of the market tends to favor buyers, with over seven months of available inventory for sale at any point in time. However, there are now less than two months of available inventory in both Sarasota and Manatee counties, making them solid seller’s markets.
